Job summary

Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a Dietitian to promote health and wellness through personalized nutrition plans for patients at our inpatient rehabilitation facilities.

You will assess nutritional needs, develop dietary plans, educate patients on healthy eating, and monitor progress as part of a compassionate care team. A registered dietitian with state licensure and nutrition expertise is essential.

Qualifications

• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
• State licensure required
• Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics preferred
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Food & Nutrition
• One year of Clinical Dietetics experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Counsel patients per physician orders and diet instruction
• Coordinate with physicians and other care team members
• Evaluate referral orders for nutrition intake methods
• Document in the patient medical record per standards
• Implement nutrition care plans and adapt menus for dietary needs
• Conduct calorie counts and provide recommendations
• Review and sign menus for nutritional adequacy

• Communicate with and counsel patients per physician orders and diet instruction.
• Communicate with physicians and other involved disciplines in patient care.
• Evaluate referral orders to determine adequacy of nutrition intake methods.
• Document pertinent information in the patient’s medical record according to established standards.
• Implement nutritional care plans, adapt menus, and assist patients with special dietary needs.
• Conduct calorie counts and make appropriate recommendations.
• Review, revise, and sign off menus for nutritional adequacy.

Qualifications

• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association
• State licensure required.
• Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics preferred.
• Bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited institution with a major in Food & Nutrition.
• One year of Clinical Dietetics experience preferred.
