Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Concord is seeking a Dietitian to assess nutritional needs, develop and implement dietary plans, and educate patients on healthy eating and post-discharge nutrition. You will monitor nutritional status and provide guidance within a patient-centered rehabilitation setting.

The role emphasizes counseling, collaboration with physicians, and adapting menus to meet dietary needs, contributing to improved health outcomes in a community hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• State licensure required.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Food & Nutrition.
• One year of clinical dietetics experience preferred.
• Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Counsel patients per physician orders and diet instruction.
• Coordinate with physicians and other care disciplines.
• Evaluate referral orders to determine adequacy of nutrition intake methods.
• Document relevant information in the patient’s medical record.
• Implement nutritional care plans, adapt menus, assist with special dietary needs.
• Conduct calorie counts and provide recommendations.
• Review and sign menus for nutritional adequacy.

Education

Bachelor's or advanced degree in Food & Nutrition

State licensure

Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration

Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics preferred

One year of Clinical Dietetics experience preferred

Qualifications

• Bachelor‘s or advanced degree from an accredited institution with a major in Food & Nutrition.
• One year of Clinical Dietetics experience preferred.
