Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services is seeking a Clinical Dietitian to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy in Charleston, South Carolina. This role involves comprehensive nutritional assessments, developing individualized care plans, and collaborating with a healthcare team for enhanced patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate will be a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or CDR exam-eligible and possess a commitment to patient wellness through evidence-based nutrition care. The position offers varied benefits, including training, health insurance, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience preferred—encouragement for new graduates.
• Must be licensed in the applicable state.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans.

• Ensure high-quality, consistent care through research alignment.
• Contribute to QAPI initiatives for advancing patient care.
• Partner with food service management team for patient satisfaction.
• Support staff and dietetic interns through education and training.

Job description

Location: The Citadel. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Pay Range: $60,000 – $65,000. RD credentials required.

Job Summary

Make a real impact as a Clinical Dietitian. Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and education in an acute care setting, working with a collaborative team to enhance patient outcomes through evidence‑based nutrition care.

What You’ll Do

• Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans to promote recovery and improve health outcomes.
• Provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to support sustainable, long‑term wellness for patients, families, staff, and the community.
• Apply the latest research in alignment with the diet manual, company policies, and facility protocols to ensure high‑quality, consistent care.
• Contribute to QAPI initiatives aimed at advancing patient care and clinical excellence.
• Partner with the food service management team to help achieve patient satisfaction and service goals.
• Support the growth of staff and dietetic interns through education and training as applicable.

What We’re Looking For

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or CDR exam‑eligible.
• Licensed Dietitian (or willingness to obtain) in the state of practice as applicable.
• Healthcare experience preferred—new graduates with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply.
