Oneida Health is seeking a Dietetic Assistant to support the Registered Dietitian in implementing diet orders and conducting resident interviews. The role involves inputting resident data into EMR, assisting with nutritional assessments, and participating in care plan meetings to ensure individualized dietary plans.

The position requires an Associates Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics and experience working with a RD. Physical readiness for extended standing and lifting up to 50 lbs is expected.

Responsabilités

• Assist the RD by implementing diet orders and interviewing residents and families.
• Input new resident information, preferences and diet changes in EMR.
• Conduct meal rounds and tray audits for Quality Assurance.
• Attend care plan meetings with residents and families.
• Inform the team of nutritional changes or risks for optimal care.

Assist the Registered Dietitian by implementing diet orders, interviewing residents, and families for food preferences. Completing risk assessments and attending care plan meetings with residents and families

Duties And Responsibilities

• Able to work independently at the direction of the RD and efficiently to ensure timely assessments are completed
• Assist RD as directed to complete nutritional assessments and conduct in person interviews with resident
• Utilize EMR to input new resident information , preferences and diet changes
• Make changes in meal tracking systems , work closely with dietary team
• Work with team to inform them of any nutritional changes or risks that may be needed for optimal care
• Attend patient care meetings as scheduled
• Assist RD to identify residents that are high risk for malnutrition
• Attend morning reports with any nutritional concerns
• Provide diet education as needed to residents and families
• Conduct meal rounds and tray audits for Quality Assurance
• Experience with GeriMenu and PCC a plus

Qualifications

Experience and Education

• Associates Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics
• Experience working with a Registered Dietitian
