Job summary

UCLA Health in Santa Monica, CA is seeking a Nutrition Support role focused on breast milk and specialized formula preparation for NICU/pediatric patients. You will follow feeding orders, perform recipe calculations, fortification, labeling, and delivery to support patient nutrition services.

Under supervision of the NICU/Pediatric Dietitian and Supervisor, you will coordinate with clinical and foodservice teams, manage inventory, and ensure equipment cleanliness to uphold quality patient care

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math for weights and measures.
• Knowledge of use of gram scale.
• Ability to read and write English and to demonstrate strong verbal and written skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and concisely.
• Detail oriented.
• Ability to follow instructions and formula recipes accurately.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs.
• Ability to use thermometer, calculator,liquid measuring equipment such as graduated cylinders, baby bottles, and syringes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breast milk and specialized formula per feeding orders, including recipe calculation, fortification, labeling, and delivery.
• Support patient nutrition services by obtaining and processing meal orders via telephone and ensuring diet compliance.
• Maintain inventory, log preparations, and ensure equipment cleanliness.
• Collaborate with clinical and foodservice teams to support patient care and satisfaction.
