UHS is seeking personnel for dietary supply management to maintain PAR levels and ensure proper stocking of dry storage and coolers. The role includes data entry, order processing, and routine clerical support in a hospital setting.
Candidates should have 9–12 months of relevant food service experience, basic computer skills, and a commitment to compliance. Weekend or on-call work may be required.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Communicates with food vendors to maintain efficiency and ensures dietary supply area PAR levels are maintained. Must maintain cleanliness of and restocking of dry storage and cooler/freezer(s). Daily performs routine data entry, supply distribution and clerical support tasks that require previous knowledge of department or hospital procedures. Examples of work performed might include data entry, responding promptly to telephone or e-mail requests, stocking supply carts in accordance with a pre-determined schedule, maintaining files and records, interpreting data, resolving routine problems, or answering questions.
Under supervision, performs a variety of manual tasks related to the management of food and paper supply inventories in dietary. Uses a computer and applicable software to prepare and submit orders. Also uses a computer to maintain records, replenishes stock, and plans for future use requirements based on orders, production schedules and forecasts. May perform receiving, stocking, distributing, and packing in addition to inventory control. On occasion it will be necessary to work weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, overtime, and/or on an on-call status.
