DIETARY MANAGER

As a Dietary Manager, you'll partner with our Dietitian to plan, organize, and direct the overall operation of our Dietary Department, ensuring that quality nutritional services are provided to our residents on a daily basis. Your leadership and expertise will be instrumental in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for our residents.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the Dietary Department
- Develop and maintain written job descriptions and performance evaluations for dietary personnel
- Review policies, procedure manuals, and job descriptions for revisions and make recommendations
- Inspect food storage rooms, utility closets, and other areas for upkeep and supply control
- Process diet changes and new diets as received from Nursing Department
- Review departmental complaints and grievances from personnel and make written reports
- Assist during resident discharge planning
- Participate in facility surveys and maintain records of resident food likes and dislikes
- Review therapeutic and regular diet plans and menus for compliance with physician's orders
- Ensure charted dietary progress notes are informative and descriptive
- Maintain stock levels of staple and non-staple food, supplies, and equipment
- Assist the Infection Control Committee in developing aseptic and isolation techniques
- Ensure dietary service work areas, food storage, and food preparation areas are maintained in a clean and sanitary manner

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Food Service Sanitation Manager Certification required
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or related medical facility
- Knowledgeable of dietary practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines governing dietary functions in nursing care facilities
