Belleville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a qualified Dietary Manager to oversee all functions of the dietary department, ensuring quality food service and comprehensive nutritional care for residents. This role requires leadership in menu planning, food safety, and adherence to standardized recipes.

The ideal candidate will have a dietary manager training credential and 2–3 years of supervisory experience in a hospital or long‑term care setting, with the ability to coordinate

• Certification in food safety as required by state regulations.
• Graduate of dietary manager training program preferred.
• Two to three years of supervisory experience in hospital or long-term care facility dietary department desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Manage the dietary department functions to ensure quality food service and nutritional care.
• Assist with food ordering, storage and preparation as designated by the food service director.
• Make and record menu changes under the direction of the food service director.
• Ensure safe food handling techniques are used.
• Maintain standards for food preparation and quality of food service; use nutritionally equivalent substitutes when required.
• Assure that dietary staff follows standardized recipes.
• Attend staff meetings and departmental head meetings as required.
• Develop and update departmental procedures and policies; work dietary staff routines as needed.

Manage the overall functions of the dietary department to ensure the provision of quality food service and nutritional care.

GENERAL DUTIES

• Assists with food ordering, storage and preparation as designated by the food service director
• Makes and records menu changes under the direction of the food service director
• Ensures that safe food handling techniques are used
• Maintains standards for food preparation and quality of food service; uses nutritionally equivalent substitutes when required
• Assures that dietary staff follows standardized recipes

Qualifications

• Certification in food safety as required by state regulations. Graduate of dietary manager training program approved by the Dietary Manager’s Association and/or State Health Department preferred
• Two to three years of supervisory experience in hospital or long-term care facility dietary department desirable.

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES

• Attends and participates in staff meetings; attends departmental head meetings at the discretion of the food service director, and other center meetings and sits on required committees
• Assists in developing and updating departmental procedures and policies
• Works dietary staff job routines when assigned or as needed
• Performs any miscellaneous work assignments as may be required
