Job summary

Avir Health Group is seeking a qualified Dietary Cook to join our team and support our residents with high-quality meals crafted for regular and modified diets. You will ensure all preparation adheres to State Health rules and facility standards, while fostering a team-oriented culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Nursing home experience preferred.
• Culinary/food service experience in a health care facility preferred.
• Previous office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
• Prepare simple food regimes and basic modified diets for residents’ nutritional needs.
• Adjust recipes to yield the required number of servings.
• Test recipes and recommend changes in recipes.
• Prepare and cook food in batches, maintaining high quality and appeal.
• Directs activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.
