Dietary Cook (PT) - Apache Junction (Food Services)

We provide compassionate and personalized skilled nursing care 24 hours a day, specializing in rehabilitation services onsite to help our patients regain their independence and return to their homes.


Cook Job Duties:

  1. Maintain kitchen and cooking area in a safe, orderly, clean, and sanitary manner.
  2. Prepare tasteful meals and cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
  3. Follow prepared menus and portion control guides.
  4. Prepare special diets accurately.
  5. Record food temperatures for the meals.
  6. Prepare pureed foods.
  7. Work in cooperation and harmony with personnel in all departments.
  8. Maintain quaternary solution in sanitizer buckets.
  9. Assist with serving the different meals.
  10. Clean cooking area and serving carts.
  11. Report resident care concerns and potential issues to Administrator and/or Director of Nurses.
  12. Participate in the orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.
  13. Make the presentation of food appealing to the residents.
  14. Cooperate with team members.
  15. Supervise and work under supervision.
  16. Ensure all cleaning schedules are followed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Previous cooking experience in a healthcare facility.
