The role requires a high school diploma and food service experience, preferably in a health care facility. You will work with a team to prepare meals that meet dietary needs and safety standards. Experience in a nursing home is preferred.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
• Prepare simple food regimes and basic modified diets for residents.
• Adjust recipes to yield the required number of servings.
• Test recipes and recommend changes.
• Prepare and cook food in batches, maintaining quality and appeal.
• Directs activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.
