MasonHealth and Rehabilitation invites a Dietary Cook to join our dining services team in Indiana. You will prepare and serve nutritious meals in accordance with recipes, while upholding safety and cleanliness standards in a resident-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be able to read recipes and menus.
• Genuine interest in seniors and resident welfare.
• Integrity and tact when dealing with residents and staff.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and follow policies and procedures.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and privacy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to standardized recipes and menus.
• Ensure proper preparation, portioning and serving of foods.
• Maintain and record daily temperatures.
• Direct and supervise Dining Aides when needed.
• Ensure meals are ready on time and service starts promptly.
• Occasionally visit residents to gather feedback on meals.
• Follow temperature regulations for safety.
• Clean equipment after use and complete assigned cleaning tasks.
• Ensure supplies are replenished in work areas.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Open kitchen, turn on lights, and start equipment as needed.
• Attend in-service trainings and department meetings.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents and comply with safety and infection control policies.
