Lauderdale Community Living Center is seeking a dependable Dietary Cook to join our team. You will prepare nutritious meals that support residents’ health and well-being, working in a team-focused environment.

Responsibilities include following menus and dietary restrictions, maintaining sanitation, and assisting with meal service. Prior cooking or food service experience is preferred, and attention to detail is essential to ensure quality and consistency.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking or food service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food preparation, safe food handling, and sanitation practices preferred.
• Ability to follow menus, recipes, and dietary instructions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus, resident diet specifications, and prescribed dietary requirements.
• Review menus before food preparation and ensure meals are prepared in the appropriate quantities.
• Follow established food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
• Verify meal trays for accuracy according to residents’ diet cards and dietary needs.
• Review diet changes and ensure menus are updated in accordance with facility procedures.
• Assist with directing and coordinating the activities of Dietary Assistants as needed.
• Distribute menus and assist with meal service as needed.
