Job summary

Tutera Senior Living and Health Care in Sulphur, LA is seeking a Dietary Cook to prepare and serve meals for residents according to the menu, monitor food handling, and keep equipment clean.

You will provide nutritionally appropriate food and ensure quality service in line with Federal, State and Local regulations. The role requires a passion for working with seniors and strong communication, with LTC cooking experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior dietary experience in LTC/SNF/AL/MC settings highly preferred.
• One year of experience as a cook in a large-scale operation highly preferred.
• Professional image in appearance and behavior.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to the menu, monitor food handling, preparation, meal service, and equipment cleaning.
• Safely and efficiently provide nutritionally appropriate food to residents for health maintenance and enhancement.
• Ensure quality food service and nutrition care in accordance with Federal, State and Local regulations.

What Will You Do in This Role?

As a Dietary Cook, you are responsible for preparing and serving meals according to the menu, monitoring methods of food handling, preparation, meal service, and equipment cleaning. You will also safely and efficiently provide nutritionally appropriate food to residents for the purpose of maintaining and enhancing their overall health. As a Dietary Cook, you will ensure the provision of quality food service and nutrition care in accordance to Federal, State and Local regulations.

Job Description
