Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary arts degree or certification preferred.
• Experience in a healthcare setting is not required but helpful.
• Strong attention to detail and presentation.
• Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to menus and recipes, using fresh ingredients.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen while following health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the Dietary Manager on menu planning, inventory, and quality control.
• Assist with food preparation for residents, including chopping and cooking.
• Manage food inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Participate in food safety and sanitation training and keep a clean workspace.
• Develop creative menu ideas to meet residents' dietary needs and preferences.
• Work with the dietary team to ensure smooth department operations.

As a Dietary Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring the nutritional needs of our residents are met, while maintaining a high level of quality and service in our dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to established menus and recipes, utilizing fresh ingredients and adhering to food safety guidelines
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations
• Collaborate with the Dietary Manager to ensure menu planning, inventory management, and food quality control
• Assist with food preparation, including chopping, dicing, and cooking meals for residents
• Manage food inventory, ordering supplies and ingredients as needed
• Participate in food safety and sanitation training, and maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Develop and implement creative menu ideas to meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents
• Work closely with the Dietary Manager and other members of the dietary team to ensure the smooth operation of the department

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary arts degree or certification preferred
• 0 minimum years of experience in a healthcare setting or related industry
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities
• Strong attention to detail, with a focus on food quality and presentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
