Job summary

Serenity Estates of Lincolnshire in Lincolnshire, IL, is seeking a dietary aide to assist in meal prep and service for residents and staff, following the Dietary Manager's directions. You will help serve meals according to the planned menu and diet orders.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and prioritize experience in food prep, especially in Skilled Nursing/long-term care settings; a food handler's permit is preferred, and strong customer service is essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and/service of meals for patients, employees, and events as instructed by the Dietary Manager.
• Serve food and snacks according to the planned menu/spreadsheet and residents’ diet orders.
• Use proper food handling/safety techniques and prepare in proper quantities.
• Complete tasks on time as scheduled and per menu & diet orders.
• Wash dishes and perform other duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager.

Position Summary:

Assists in the preparation and/ or service of meals/ food for patients, employees, and special events as instructed by the Dietary Manager. They serve food and snacks according to the planned menu/spreadsheet and the patient’s/resident's food preferences and diet order.

Responsibilites:

• Using proper food handling/ safety techniques and is of proper quantity
• Completed on time as scheduled, and is in accordance with the menu & residents’ diet order
• Wash dishes, etc. when necessary or when instructed to do so by the Dietary Manager.
• May perform other duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager when necessary
• As this job description is not intended to be all-inclusive, the employee will be expected to perform other essential functions and duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must possess, as a minimum, high school education
• Experience in food prep and service preferred.
