Serenity Spring Senior Living at Arlington is seeking a Dietary Aide (PRN) to assist with meal service and sanitation in a long-term care setting.

The role includes dishwashing, serving meals with portion control, and maintaining dining areas. Candidates should have experience in resident services, strong communication, and the ability to multitask across shifts with flexibility for part-time and full-time openings.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Run dishes through the dish machine and provide excellent resident service.
• Clean and maintain equipment and dining areas as designated by management.
• Keep sufficient supply of china, silverware, trays, cups and glasses.
• Serve meals to residents with proper portion control and appealing presentation.
• May complete daily cleaning tasks including spills, unloading dishwasher and trash disposal.
• Participate in departmental cleaning and recycling programs.
• Dispose of food and waste in accordance with facility/state guidelines.

Responsibilities of Dietary Aide:

• Run dishes and silverware through dish machine following proper procedures and provides excellent resident service within established guidelines
• Clean and maintain certain equipment and areas as designated by management
• Keep sufficient supply of china, silverware, trays, cups and glasses during service periods.
• Serves meals to residents in dining areas in accordance with established portion control procedures that are appetizing in appearance
• May be required to complete daily cleaning assignments that include but are not limited to cleaning up spilled food, drinks and broken dishes, unloading dishwasher and removing empty bottles and disposing of trash
• Participates in the departmental cleaning and recycling program
• Disposes of food and waste in accordance with facility / state guidelines

Requirements of Dietary Aide:

• Experience providing quality resident services including needs assessment, meeting quality standards, and evaluation of resident’s satisfaction
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, has ability to prioritize work and resolve emergencies as they may occur
• Working knowledge of sanitary practices relating to food handling
• Good communication skills and ability to effectively interact with others (residents and families)
• Ability to identify and report problems associated with the daily work routine and provide suggestions for correction of those problems
• Must perform dishwashing tasks
• Part Time and Full Time Openings Available for All Shifts and Food Service/ Dietary Aide:1 year
