Job summary

Ayden Healthcare of Wauseon is seeking a Culinary Services Aide to assist in the preparation and service of meals for patients, staff, and events. You will follow the Culinary Director's instructions and ensure meals meet diet orders and preferences.

Responsibilities include food handling, safety practices, timely completion of tasks, and potential supplemental duties as needed. High school education is required; prior food prep/service in a skilled nursing facility is preferred, and a food

• High school education is required at minimum.
• Experience in food prep and service is preferred.
• Experience in skilled nursing/long-term care facilities is strongly preferred.
• Food handler’s permit is preferred.
• Superior customer service skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and service of meals for patients, employees, and events as directed by the Culinary Director.
• Serve food according to the planned menu and residents’ diet orders and preferences.
• Use proper food handling and safety techniques and maintain correct portion control.
• Complete tasks on time as scheduled and as per menu/diet orders; may perform other duties as assigned.

Ayden Healthcare of Wauseonis currently seeking a Culinary Services Assistant

Position Summary of the Culinary Services Aide:

Assists in the preparation and/ or service of meals/ food for patients, employees, and special events as instructed by the Culinary Director. They serve food and snacks according to the planned menu/spreadsheet and the patient’s/resident's food preferences and diet order.

Responsibilities & Duties of the Culinary Services Aide:

• Using proper food handling/ safety techniques and is of proper quantity
• Completed on time as scheduled, and is in accordance with the menu & residents’ diet order
• Wash dishes, etc. when necessary or when instructed to do so by the Culinary Director.
• May perform other duties as assigned by the Culinary Director when necessary.

Qualifications of the Culinary Services Aide:

• Must possess, as a minimum, high school education
• Experience in food prep and service preferred.
• Experiences in food prep and service within a skilled nursing / term care facility strongly preferred
• Food handler’s permit preferred
• Superior customer service skills required
