Job summary

ERC Pathlight is hiring a Dietary Assistant to support patients with dietary needs, meals, and group activities. You will work with dietitians, supervise meals, and assist with menu planning and documentation. A high school diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

A valid driver’s license may be preferred depending on location. The role is full-time, with Monday–Friday hours (about 8:30 AM–5:00 PM).

Qualifications

• Duties include menu distribution, updating meal plans and supporting dietitians.
• One-on-one patient meetings to support menu completion and documentation.
• Coordinate with Food Service to meet dietary needs including allergens.
• Experience in mental health or nutrition is a plus.

• Coordinates with Food Service to meet dietary needs and allergens.
• Collects and analyzes patient data related to dietary department.

What you’ll be doing:

Schedule: Full Time - Mondays-Fridays, typically from ~8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

The Dietary Assistant works alongside the dietary department by supporting patients with their dietary needs, completing food-related projects, providing administrative support to dietitians, supervising patients at meals and snacks, supporting dietitians with running groups and meals, and maintaining menus as directed.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Distributes, collects and corrects patient menus weekly
  • Updates patient menus and meal plans as directed by Clinical Dietitians
• Meet with patients one-on-one to support with menu completion as needed
• Completes documentation for meal support or groups as required
• Sets up and supports patient meals, snacks and restaurant outings as needed
• Completes projects as directed by members of the Dietary Team
• Shops for groceries and orders food (will vary by location)
• Supports Clinical Dietitians in preparing for nutrition and cooking groups
• Coordinate with Food Service team to ensure all patients' dietary needs are met, including monitoring for food allergens
• Collects and analyzes patient data as related to dietary department

Must haves:

• High school diploma or GED (required)
• Valid driver’s license is required with safe driving record (required)

Bonus qualities:

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
• Experience working in the mental health and/or nutrition field (preferred)
