Job summary

Mission Senior Living in Durango, CO seeks a dedicated Dietary Aide to assist with food preparation and serve meals to residents within scheduled times. This role supports the Director of Dining Services and helps maintain inventory and a clean, safe kitchen and dining area.

The incumbent ensures residents' diets are followed, maintains logs for temps and chemicals, and may assist as a Resident Assistant when duties are finished. Requires ServSafe, Food Handler's Card, CPR/First Aid licensure.

Qualifications

• Keep all required licensure (ServSafe, Food Handler's Card, CPR/First Aid) in good standing at all times.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of food items and serve meals to residents within scheduled time.
• Clean and maintain food service areas, including kitchen and dining room.
• Assist Director of Dining Services and/or cook in inventory control.
• Maintain a clean, neat and safe work environment.
• Ensure residents' diets are followed.
• Ensure meals are accounted for daily.
• Report loss, breakage or waste to the Director of Dining Services.
• Observe and communicate problems or potential problems in the dietary department to the Director of Dining Services.
• Observe and report any unusual or potentially dangerous resident behavior.
• Maintain current cleaning list and highest standards for kitchen cleanliness.
• Assist as a resident assistant when all dietary duties are finished.
• Assist in an emergency or when short-staffed as a Resident Assistant.
• Perform all other duties assigned by management.
• Maintain current logs for chemicals, temperatures, etc.

• Assists Director of Dining Services and/or cook in maintaining inventory control.

• Assures that residents diets are followed.
• Assures team members and resident guest meals are accounted for on a daily basis.
• Reports to Director of Dining Services any loss, breakage or waste of supplies and equipment.
• Observes and communicates to Director of Dining Services problems or potential problems in the dietary department.
• Observes and reports any unusual or potentially dangerous resident behavior
• Maintains current cleaning list and highest standards for kitchen cleanliness.
• Assists as a resident assistant when all dietary duties are finished.
