Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Hershey, PA, is seeking a Server to courteously serve resident and guest meals and help reset the dining room after service.

You will assist with menu orders, beverage service, and maintain cleanliness while prioritizing residents’ needs and confidentiality. This role emphasizes teamwork and respectful interactions in a senior living environment.

Qualifications

• Must wear clean designated uniform and maintain personal hygiene.
• Must read and follow simple instructions.
• Must perform simple, repetitive tasks.
• Must learn quickly and apply learned principles.
• Must communicate effectively and work under close supervision.
• Must be able to stand and walk for up to three hours.

Responsibilities

• Serve resident and guest meals courteously and reset dining room after service.
• Assist residents when placing orders from the menu.
• Provide beverage service (water, iced tea, juices, milk and coffee/tea).
• Refill salt/pepper/sugar bowls prior to and after each meal.
• Report any broken equipment or tableware to supervisor.
• Understand sit-down service and proper serving techniques.
• Have a basic understanding of food preparation (salads, desserts, etc.).
• Knowledge of proper food storage and labeling techniques.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum kitchen and dining room.
• Attend required in-services and staff meetings.
• Complete all other duties assigned.
• Must be attentive to special needs of residents including mobility deficits, memory impairment, etc.).
• Assist with tray service.
• Follow confidentiality policies regarding release of resident information.
• Interact in a polite considerate manner to residents, guests, co-workers and supervisors.
