Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Bridgeport, WV is seeking a courteous Server to nourish residents and guests with meals, handle serving and cleanup, and help reset the dining area after service. You will assist with menu orders, beverage service, and ensuring safety and accuracy in food handling, while respecting resident needs and confidentiality.

This role offers Fulltime and Part-time opportunities, requires teamwork, reliability, and a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow simple instructions.
• Must possess ability to perform simple, repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to learn quickly and apply learned principles.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and work under close supervision.
• Must be able to stand and walk for sustained periods up to three hours.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and carry heavy objects for 20 ft.
• Must be organized and willing to work well with other team members.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• The Server serves resident and guest meals courteously and handles dining room cleanup and resetting after service.
• Assists residents with menu ordering and provides beverage service.
• Refills salt, pepper, and sugar bowls as needed.
• Reports broken equipment or tableware to supervisor and follows proper serving techniques.
• Maintains confidentiality of resident information and interacts politely with residents, guests and staff.
• Performs required in-services and staff meetings and participates in team responsibilities.

Job Description

The Server is responsible for courteously serving resident and guest meals, and for clean-up and resetting of dining room following meal service. Assists residents when placing orders from the menu Provide beverage service (water, iced tea, juices, milk and coffee/tea) Refill salt/pepper/sugar bowls prior to and after each meal Report any broken equipment or tableware to supervisor Understands sit-down service and proper serving techniques Has a basic understanding of food preparation (salads, desserts, etc.) Knowledge of proper food storage and labeling techniques Sweep, mop, and vacuum kitchen and dining room Attends required in-services and staff meetings Completes all other duties assigned Must be attentive to special needs of residents including: mobility deficits, memory impairment, etc.) Assists with tray service Follows confidentiality policies regarding release of resident information Interacts in a polite considerate manner to residents, guests, co-workers and supervisors

Requirements

• Must be in clean designated uniform during working hours and maintain good personal hygiene
