Job summary

Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services is seeking an experienced Dietary Aide to support our dietary team in providing safe, sanitary, and pleasant nourishment to residents. You will assist with meal preparation, food service, and sanitation in a compassionate care setting.

The role requires following menus, reading diet cards, and maintaining hygiene standards while supporting cooks and other dietary staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read diet cards and follow recipes.
• Lift up to 30 pounds and maintain neat appearance and hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Assist the cook on duty with non-cooking and some cooking tasks.
• Follow planned menu and prepare food and beverages per tested recipes.
• Serve meals to residents and assist with tray cart service and beverages.
• Wash, rinse, and sanitize all dishes and utensils.
• Clean and sanitize work areas; sweep and mop floors.
• Assist with meals, beverages, supplements, and snacks as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We Are Currently Seeking An Experienced DIETARY AIDE

Job Description

• Provides assistance to the cook on duty by performing primarily non-cooking related duties and secondarily cooking related duties and assisst in assuring sanitary, safe, and pleasant dietary conditions for patients and others served by the Dietary Department.


• Follows planned menu and prepares food and beverages according to tested recipes and established procedures.


• Provides food service to residents and assists in serving beverages and tray cart.


• Washes, rinses, and sanitizes all dishes, silverware, etc.


• Cleans, sanitizes, sweeps, and mops work areas.


• Assist with duties of the Cook and Assistant Cook in preparation of meals, drinks, supplements, and snacks.


• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, and 18 years of age or older.


• Ability to use supplies economically and use equipment without jeopardizing the safety of self, others, or equipment.


• Demonstrate neat appearance and good personal hygiene.


• Ability to read diet cards, speak English, and lift up to 30 pounds.
