Job summary

Tufts Medicine’s MelroseWakefield Hospital is seeking an entry-level food service worker to support dietary and food services across hospital locations. You will assist with menu planning, meal preparation, tray delivery, and kitchen sanitation.

Under supervision, you’ll ensure accurate diet order information, assemble patient trays, maintain sanitation logs, and help with stocking and service at counters and dining areas. The role is 40 hours weekly with rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospital food service operations.
• Ability to follow dietary orders and sanitation protocols.
• Comfort with cash handling and POS as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintains diet order information to ensure patients receive appropriate meals.
• Cleans and sanitizes dishware, equipment and workstations.
• Delivers trays to patients and assists with tray assembly.
• Prepares menu items and assists with kitchen tasks and inventory.
• Supports setup, stocking, and serving at counters and dining areas.
