Job summary

Split Rock Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Dietary Aide to support daily meal preparation and service. You will assist in determining food quantities, prepare resident trays, and ensure dietary orders are followed with attention to safety, cleanliness, and privacy.

Responsibilities include delivering meals, maintaining kitchen and dining areas, and assisting in emergency procedures as required. High school diploma or equivalent is required, with no specific certification needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High school education, equivalent.
• License/Certification: None
• Equipment/Computer Software: Commercial kitchen, dining rooms, walk in refrigerators and freezers.
• Physical/Mental Demands: Walk long distances, stand for long durations, lift up to 50lbs, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Assist cook/chef with determining food quantity and supplies for daily meals.
• Perform tray line duties and prepare residents' meal trays to follow dietary orders.
• Check inventory and maintain par levels; ensure no expired food is used.
• Clean dishes, pots, pans, and food service areas.
• Deliver meals to resident floors, dining rooms, and bedrooms.
• Assist in emergency procedures as directed; follow HIPAA and privacy rules.

• Performs tray line duties; checks meal tickets and prepares residents meal trays to assure dietary orders are followed.
• Checks food inventory/stock to assure no expired food is used and helps in maintaining par levels of food goods.
• Cleans dishes,pots and pans utilizing dishwasher and sinks.
• Cleans food service areas.
• Practices the highest level of customer service in dealing with all internal and external customers and peers.
• Delivers meals to resident floors, dining rooms and resident bed rooms
• Assists in emergency procedures ie, code E, fire, disaster, and general health care emergencies. as directed.
• Follows code of conduct and ensures resident privacy and is compliant with HIPAA.
• Will perform other related duties as assigned.

• Physical/Mental Demands: Walk long distances, and remain on her / his feet for long durations of time. Bend, squat, push, pull, reach, stretch and lift up to 50lbs. Speak, read and understand English. Able to tolerate cleaning chemicals with use of appropriate equipment.
