Salary Range: $17.00 - $20.00 Hourly

Description

If you are passionate about working with seniors and want to make a difference in the lives of the residents and clients served at Crest View Senior Communities, please apply for a position as a Culinary Server/Dietary Aide so that we can discuss your qualifications further. This shift is part-time in the evenings on weekends.

Responsibilities and Duties
  1. Treat all residents and staff with dignity and respect.
  2. Uphold the Patient / Resident Bill of Rights.
  3. Maintain sanitation and quality standards as established by corporate, division, and government regulations in all work phases.
  4. Work cooperatively as a team member.
  5. Maintain a positive attitude.
  6. Support the organization's philosophy, goals, and Christian objectives.
  7. Wash tableware and utensils, including scrubbing, stacking, loading, unloading, and storing, while keeping the area clean.
  8. Arrange trays and table settings properly, handling tableware in a sanitary manner.
  9. Assist cooks with food service tasks such as cutting fruits and vegetables, plating desserts, and assisting with dishing food according to portion sizes and dietary instructions.
  10. Prepare and serve beverages, and clean dispensers after use.
  11. Perform cleaning tasks as scheduled, documenting completion.
  12. Prepare and deliver nourishments or supplements, labeling leftovers appropriately.
  13. Maintain or assist in maintaining storage areas, including unpacking, rotating, and labeling food items.
  14. Manage tray tickets for meal delivery.
  15. Dispose of soiled linens properly.
Qualifications

Job Qualifications

  • Must be 15 years or older.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow directions; on-the-job training provided.
  • Willingness to provide excellent hospitality and serve food and beverages professionally.
  • Ability to create a caring and engaging environment for residents.

Preferred:

  • Previous hospitality experience.
  • Knowledge of food service or sanitation techniques.

Physical Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff, residents, and family members, and to use the telephone.
  • Ability to understand tray tickets, food orders, and memos.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs, and perform physical tasks such as bending, pushing, twisting, reaching, and climbing stairs.
  • Ability to assess equipment sounds and food temperatures by senses.
