Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Dietary Aide to prepare and serve meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will help with food prep, follow dietary guidelines, and support a clean, safe dining environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, positive resident interactions, and adherence to safety policies. Training is provided, and state requirements may apply for certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in food service or kitchen is preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
• COVID-19 vaccination policies compliance required.
• Must lift up to 30 pounds, push/pull up to 50 pounds, stand/sit/bend/walk for extended periods.
• Must perform routine, repetitive tasks around food and cleaning products.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification required by State/County law.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables and preparing salads.
• Serve meals to residents according to dietary needs and portion sizes.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
