Job summary

Senior Lifestyle seeks individuals who can embrace our mission to brighten and enrich the lives of those we serve with HEART: Hospitality, Excellence, Appreciation, Respect & Teamwork. This position provides assistance in all food service functions under Dining Services policies and reports to the Director of Dining Services.

Responsibilities include serving meals, setting up trays, assisting cooks, and ensuring safe, palatable dining experiences.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; entry-level position (0-3 years) in food service or hospitality.
• Serv Safe or equivalent certification required.
• Ability to communicate well verbally with management, co-workers and residents.

Responsibilities

• Follow and perform duties in accordance with Dining Policy and Procedures.
• Serve food according to portion control and ensure diet, nutrition, and resident preferences are met.
• Assist or serve meals including resident room service and dining areas.
• Set up, deliver, verify meal trays, carts, and dining areas; remove soiled items after meals.
• Assist department with food supplies and inventory; prepare and deliver snacks as instructed.
• Follow safety precautions in food preparation according to policy; maintain clean work areas.
• Perform kitchen utility duties: sweep/mop floors, wash small wares, sanitize surfaces, manage waste.
• Adhere to health department regulations and keep dining areas clean and safe.
• Attend required training and staff meetings.
