Responsibilities

• Follows department procedures and storage of dishes, utensils and cooking equipment.
• Ensures labeled and dated items in refrigerator, freezer, and dry storage.
• Oversees proper food handling to prevent contamination and reduce cost.
• Suggests menu or recipe changes to utilize leftovers and supplies.
• Cleans food service equipment, kitchen and storage areas.
• Maintains safe food temperatures during preparation and service and records temperatures.
• Assists with tray line setup and assembles trays per menu, portions, and diet orders.
