Wesleyan Health and Rehabilitation Center in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking a Dietary Aide to support daily meal preparation and service for residents. You will assist with meal setup, delivery, and maintenance of clean, sanitary dining areas in accord with OBRA and facility standards.

Qualifications

• Understand Dining Services procedures and practices.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English well.
• Able to read recipes and menus.
• Genuine interest in seniors and willingness to work for residents and facility.
• Personal integrity; ability to deal tactfully with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
• Work harmoniously with Dining Services staff and other facility personnel.
• Need to prioritize tasks per established standards and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and corporate compliance; protect resident information.
• Be patient, cheerful, and handle residents with sensitivity to their needs.
• Adhere to professional ethics and communicate resident information appropriately.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and portion food items following recipes and menus.
• Assist with setup and delivery of meals.
• Stock management on delivery days.
• Wash, store pots, pans, dishes and utensils; sweep and mop floors.
• Maintain confidentiality of all residents and protect privacy.
• Keep dietary work areas clean and sanitary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
