Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center in Miami, FL is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in assembling and checking diet trays, label and date food, and deliver meals to residents to meet dietary needs. You will also help in the dish room and maintain a clean kitchen area.

Daily pay is available. Candidates with LTC experience are preferred, but not required; a positive attitude, tactful communication, and teamwork are essential to support residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Must have dietary aide experience (LTC preferred but not required).
• Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, etc...
• Able to follow and understand procedures.
• Positive attitude, patience and team mentality.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assembling and checking diet trays prior to distribution to ensure all residents receive the proper meals to meet dietary needs.
• Label and date food properly.
• Deliver food carts to designated areas as well as collecting food trucks when meals are finished to return to the dish room.
• Work in the dish room, wash all dishes//utensils utilizing dish machine.
• Prepare and deliver snacks to nursing units.
• Ensure the kitchen stays clean at all times, sweep/mop floors as instructed.
• Carry out garbage
