Job summary

Blue Palms Health and Rehabilitation Center of Deland is seeking a Full Time Dietary Aide to support residents with nutritious meals and a positive dining experience. In this role, you will assist with meal preparation, serve residents, maintain clean dining and kitchen areas, and ensure proper safety and sanitation standards are followed.

This position requires reliability, teamwork, and the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

Preferred experience in food service or a similar role.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with residents and staff.
Team-oriented with adaptability to changing priorities.
Basic math for portioning and meal calculations.
Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

Participate in meal preparation according to dietary guidelines and individual restrictions.
Serve meals promptly and courteously, following prescribed diets.
Maintain cleanliness of dining and kitchen areas; manage sanitation and storage.
Interact respectfully with residents and address requests.
Monitor food temperatures and maintain required records.
Assist in inventory management and report shortages.
Follow safety and sanitation protocols and participate in training.
Provide excellent customer service to support residents' quality of life.
