Lighthouse Care Center of Augusta is seeking a dietary aide to support our clinical dining services for staff, patients and visitors. You will help prepare and serve meals, assist patients under supervision, and ensure safe, sanitary food handling in a busy healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1–3 months' experience or equivalent.
• Previous dietary aide experience preferred.
• Customer service experience appreciated.
• Knowledge of safety guidelines and sanitation.
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely.
• Skilled with cooking appliances and bakeware.
• Friendly, communicative, and team-oriented.
• Able to stand long periods and lift heavy items.
• Willing to obtain ServSafe certification within 90 days.
• Familiarity with clinical diets and healthcare food service is a plus.

Lighthouse Care Center of Augusta (LCCA) seeking to hire spectacular Dietary Aides.

Key Responsibilities

• Dietary aide to prepare and serve food for our staff, patients, and visitors at our facility.
• Dietary aide consists of working under the dietary manager and assisting patients.
• Following state and federal regulations concerning food safety, tidying up dining areas, receiving and stocking supplies or food, following safety guidelines when working, and avoiding any food contamination by storing it properly.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months previous experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience as a dietary aide
• Enhanced experience in customer service is always appreciated
• Thorough knowledge about safety guidelines and sanitation
• Aptness in preparing meals in accordance with the precise instructions
• Skilled in operating cooking appliances, bakeware and cookware
• A friendly personality with good communication skills
• Stamina and good physical condition
• A high school diploma or equivalent; food certification is always appreciated
• Familiarity with clinical diets
• Food service and/or culinary experience in a health care facility is a bonus
• Ability to cooperate and work in a team
• Ability to read and comprehend common recipes
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy weights
• Willingness to participate in continuing education courses and training
• Become ServSafe “Food Handler” certified within 90 days of hire date
