Job summary

New City Supportive Living in Chicago, IL is seeking a dependable Dietary Aide for a part-time schedule (Mon–Fri 12:00 PM–6:00 PM) with some weekend availability. You will assist with meal preparation and service while helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment for residents.

Qualifications

About the Role

New City Supportive Living is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our team. In this role, you will support our dietary department by assisting with meal preparation and service while helping create a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment for our residents.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a team setting and takes pride in contributing to the health and overall experience of seniors through quality meal service.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in food service or healthcare setting
• Ability to read and follow recipes and dietary guidelines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with seniors or individuals with special dietary needs

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and service in accordance with dietary guidelines and resident needs
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including dishwashing and sanitizing surfaces
• Follow proper food safety, storage, and handling procedures
• Assist with inventory and stocking of food and supplies
• Provide friendly and respectful service to residents during mealtimes
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to support a positive dining experience
