Job summary

Magnolia Creek Assisted Living is seeking a dedicated Dietetic Aide to join our culinary team and help provide nutritious, high-quality meals to residents. You will assist with meal preparation, portions, and serving while upholding food safety standards.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, strong customer service and communication skills, and a genuine desire to care for the elderly in a compassionate, team-centered environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Previous experience in a food service role (preferred, but not required).
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow directions and work efficiently as part of a team.
• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Meal Assistance: Help prepare, portion, and serve meals to residents according to dietary plans and special requests.
• Sanitation & Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas; wash dishes, utensils, and equipment as needed.
• Resident Support: Provide meal assistance to residents, assist with meal setup and serving, ensure a positive dining experience.
• Food Safety: Follow all food safety protocols, proper storage, handling and sanitation practices.
• Inventory Support: Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies; notify Dietary Manager of shortages or needs.
• Team Collaboration: Work with the dietary team to ensure smooth kitchen and dining operations.
• Resident Engagement: Fulfill special dietary requests and respect residents' preferences during meals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Meal Assistance: Help prepare, portion, and serve meals to residents according to dietary plans and special requests.
