Job summary

Evergreen Health & Rehab Center is seeking a friendly Dietary Aide to support our residents with nutritious meals and attentive service. You will set up dining areas, assist kitchen staff, and ensure food is prepared and served safely.

In this role you’ll monitor cleanliness, manage stock, and help with post‑meal cleanups while maintaining a positive, resident‑centered dining experience. Previous dietary aide experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Previous dietary aide experience preferred.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Ability to prepare meals according to guidelines.
• Friendly demeanor and good communication.
• Must be able to stand and work in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; food service certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up tables and dining areas with cleanliness and order.
• Prepare meals under guidance of a dietary manager or cook following safety standards.
• Deliver dishes and trays to designated rooms on time.
• Assist in post-meal cleanup and clear dining areas and utensils.
• Maintain hygiene by disposing of leftovers and taking out garbage.
• Keep food stations clean and wash dishes, cooking equipment, and silverware.
• Monitor ingredient stock levels and manage inventory.
• Contribute to upkeep of kitchen equipment and appliances.
