Job summary

Care Initiatives is seeking a compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team across more than 40 skilled nursing communities in Iowa. You will support dining services by serving meals, delivering trays, and helping maintain clean, sanitary areas with attentive resident care.

Full- and part-time day shifts are available. The role emphasizes quality service, following dietary guidelines, and teamwork to ensure residents receive nutritious meals in a respectful, timely manner.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in quantity food preparation and service.
• Willingness to complete training in Food Safety, Sanitation and Modified Diets.
• Experience in a healthcare dietary setting a plus.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Serve hot and cold food portions to residents.
• Set up and clear tables, transport food carts.

What You’ll Do & Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for performing all duties related to food table service including serving hot and cold food portions to residents
• Complete the set up and clearing of tables, as well as transporting food carts
• Bring trays to rooms while delivering exceptional customer service
• Cleaning duties while maintaining safe and sanitary work areas

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated skills in quantity food preparation and service.
• Willingness to complete training in Food, Safety, Sanitation and Modified Diets.
• Experience in a healthcare dietary setting a plus!
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
