Job summary

Colonial-Vista-Post-Acute is seeking a Dietary Aide for a full-time role in Wenatchee, WA. You will learn the food service routine quickly, set up meal trays, assist with serving meals, and help maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen environment under supervision.

Responsibilities include operating the dishwasher, recording dishwashing parameters, preparing nourishments, and participating in staff training. Must have a high school diploma and a food handlers’ certificate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Language: English reading, writing and ability to present information to managers, employees and residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist with serving the different meals.
• Check chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwashing machine at shift start.
• Observe dishwasher water temperatures during cycles.
• Operate the dishwasher to clean dishes.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop the kitchen.
• Carry out trash and garbage disposal.
• Store groceries safely and orderly.
• Leave kitchen clean and sanitary, assist Cook/Dietary supervisor.
• Clean work surfaces and refrigerators.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training for dietary staff.
• Work cooperatively with personnel across departments.

Dietary Aide- Full TimeWage: $18.50-$23.13General PurposeThe dietary aide assignments are determined by the needs basis on the activity of the shift. He/she reports to the Cook and Dietary supervisor.Essential Duties• Must be able to learn food service routine within a short period.• Set up meal trays.• Must strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.• Assist with serving the different meals.• Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of dishwashing machine at the beginning of shift.• Observe the water temperatures of dishwasher during dishwashing cycles.• Operate dishwasher.• Prepare nourishments and snacks.• Sweep and mop kitchen.• Carry out trash and garbage.• Put groceries away in a safe, orderly and clean manner.• To leave the kitchen in a clean and sanitary manner and be of assistance when called upon by the cook or dietary supervisor.• Clean work surfaces and refrigerators.• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors.• Participate in the orientation and on-going training of dietary staff.• Ability to work in cooperation and harmony with personnel in all departments.Qualification Education and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent.Language SkillsAbility to read, write and ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, employees and residents in EnglishCertificates, Licenses, RegistrationsMust obtain and maintain food handlers’ certificate.Physical DemandsThe essential functions of this position require the following physical abilities: Standing and /or walking very frequently.
