Job summary

Perimeter Behavioral of Missouri—Waynesville is seeking a Dietary Aide to support adolescents through nutritious meal preparation and compassionate service.

You will work with dietitians and care teams to tailor meals, maintain safety standards, and ensure a positive dining experience in a residential setting. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and a willingness to obtain Serve Safe certification within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Missouri Driver's License is preferred.
• At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
• Experience in a mental health setting (preferably with adolescents).
• Knowledge of child/adolescent growth and development.
• Serve Safe certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals in compliance with dietary guidelines and nutritional standards.
• Collaborate with dietitians and healthcare providers to tailor meals for adolescents' medical and behavioral needs.
• Serve meals promptly with proper portioning and a positive dining experience for patients.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen following health, safety, and sanitation regulations including safe food handling.
• Monitor food supply levels, assist with ordering, and restock ingredients as needed.
• Follow all safety protocols and complete required food safety certification within 30 days of hire.

Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our patients as a Dietary Aide at Perimeter Behavioral of Missouri - Waynesville. In this role, the Dietary Aide will be responsible for the preparation and cooking of meals for adolescents facing behavioral challenges.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals in compliance with established dietary guidelines, nutritional standards, and specialty needs.
• Collaborate with dietitians and healthcare providers to tailor meals for the medical and behavioral needs of patients, particularly adolescents.
• Serve meals promptly, ensuring proper portioning presentations, and a positive dining experience for patients.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including safe food handling practices.
• Monitor food supply levels, assist with ordering, and restock ingredients as needed.
• Follow all safety protocols and complete the required food safety certification within 30 days of hire.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Missouri Driver's License is preferred
• At least twenty-one (21) years of age
• Experience in a mental health setting (preferably with adolescents), and knowledge of child/adolescent growth and development, and the ability to relate to adolescents with substance abuse or mental health problems is preferred.
• Serve Safe certification within 30 days of hire (Perimeter covers the cost!)
