Job summary

Care Initiatives is seeking a Dietary Staff member to join our compassionate team across more than 40 skilled nursing communities in Iowa. You’ll help with food service, delivering meals, and keeping dining areas sanitary, with days/evenings part-time flexible shifts.

Join us to support residents with friendly, patient-centered care. No prior healthcare dieting experience is required; training in Food Safety and Modified Diets is provided.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in quantity food preparation and service.
• Willingness to complete training in Food, Safety, Sanitation and Modified Diets.
• Experience in a healthcare dietary setting a plus!
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Serve hot and cold food portions to residents at tables.
• Set up and clear tables, transport food carts.
• Deliver trays to rooms with courteous service.
• Maintain clean, safe, sanitary work areas.

What You’ll Do & Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for performing all duties related to food table service including serving hot and cold food portions to residents


• Complete the set up and clearing of tables, as well as transporting food carts


• Bring trays to rooms while delivering exceptional customer service


• Cleaning duties while maintaining safe and sanitary work areas

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated skills in quantity food preparation and service.


• Willingness to complete training in Food, Safety, Sanitation and Modified Diets.


• Experience in a healthcare dietary setting a plus!


• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
