Job summary

Sky View Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Croton-on-Hudson, NY is seeking dedicated Dietary Aide/Food Service Staff to join our 192-bed skilled nursing facility. Responsibilities include preparing and serving meals, cleaning stations, and supporting residents with timely, accurate service.

Part-time shifts available: 4 days at 7.25 hours (29 total) and 4pm-8pm (20 hours), with some weekend availability. Vaccination is encouraged but not mandated; benefits are pro-rated where applicable.

Qualifications

• Some high school education is required.
• Experience in healthcare kitchen is preferred.
• Excellent customer service and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food and serve residents according to diets.
• Clean stations and wash dishes.
• Assemble trays and deliver to nursing units.
• Take inventory and ensure safe handling of food.

Sky View Rehabilitation and Health Care, a 192-bed Skilled Nursing Facility located in Croton-on-Hudson, NY serves as the bridge between hospital and home, spanning the gap from recovery to community reentry. Our team of highly skilled physical, occupational, speech, and respiratory therapists really care and work together to create an individualized therapy plan that helps you reach your highest level of functioning in as short an amount of time as possible – preparing for your eventual return home.

The Role Of The Dietary Aide (Food Service) Is

• Dietary Aide/Food Service Staff must be reliable and dedicated to providing excellent meal service to our residents


• Dietary Aide/Food Service Staff responsibilities include but are not limited to: Prepare food, serve residents, clean up after meals, and washing dishes


• Proper “in kitchen” preparation and cleaning in regards to the station assigned


• Prepare cold and hot food and beverage items in accordance to diets and recipes


• Dietary Aide/Food Service Staff will assemble trays according to prescribed diets and serve resident tray line and main dining room


• Take inventory and deliver prepared nourishments to nursing unit pantries at designated times for residents’ use


• Handling of food in a safe manner


• Deliver and retrieve food carts to all nursing units during meal service

Requirements

• Some high school education


• Experience working in a kitchen in a healthcare setting preferred, but not required


• Excellent customer service skills


• Work well under pressure & willing to work harmoniously with all staff


• Must have a working knowledge of food service techniques and sanitation


• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions required


• Covid-19 vaccinations are encouraged but NOT MANDATED; we continue to offer COVID-19 vaccination based on eligibility guidance from CDC

Part-Time positions starting at $21.67/hour w/pro-rated benefits

Per Diem positions: $25.07/hour, no benefits
