Job summary

Kids for the Future in Darby, PA is seeking a Dietary Occasional / As Needed team member to support dining services for residents. You will help set up the dining room, serve meals, wash dishes, and assist with kitchen sanitation in a community senior living setting.

This position requires punctuality, ability to work weekends/holidays, and lifting up to 25 lbs. Prior experience with older adults is preferred; 18+ years old, HS diploma, and reliable, respectful conduct are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High school diploma/GED.
• Experience working with a senior care population is preferred.
• Report to work on time required.
• Show up for your scheduled shift which is required.
• Flexible, able to handle frequent interruptions.
• And the ability to work respectfully and effectively with older adults in their community setting.

Responsibilities

• Hours: All Shifts as Needed and Required.
• Weekends and Holidays Required.
• Fill in when FT staff call out.
• Communicating resident requests with the cook-supervisor.
• Checking and putting away deliveries.
• Cleaning and sanitizing work surfaces.
• Ability to safely use kitchen equipment (toaster, coffee maker, steamtable, plate warmer, etc.)
• Taking and recording temperature of dishwasher, refrigeration and food.
• Washing Dishes.
• Washing pots.
• Sweeping and mopping floors.
• Cleaning assignments as directed.
• Must be able to lift 25lbs
• Replenish the floor refrigerators.

Summary

This position consists of setting up the dining room, serving our residents, washing dishes, washing pots, taking out the trash, replenishing the different floors refrigerators &cleaning the kitchen for the next shift.
