North Park Post-Acute is seeking a positive Dietary Aide to assist with meal preparation, serving, and sanitation in our resident-focused kitchen. No previous experience required; training will be provided to complete duties safely and in accordance with dietary policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist Dietician, Dietary Manager, and Cook as requested.
• Aid in meal prep according to residents' dietary needs.
• Assist in serving meals that are palatable and appealing.
• Set up meal service and deliver trays on time.
• Follow portion control guidelines.
• Adhere to sanitation and food safety during prep and cleanup.
• Keep work tables, meat blocks, and units clean.
• Sweep and mop floors and wash dishes.
• Return clean dishes to storage.
• Dispose of garbage properly.
• Obtain food supplies for the next meal.
• Follow all safety rules at all times.
• Report occupational exposures to supervisor.
• Follow facility policies and protect resident confidentiality.

Position Summary

The primary purpose of your job position is to provide assistance in all food functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established food policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Dietician / Dietary Management and Cook as requested
• Helping with meal preparation in accordance with the dietary needs of the residents
• Assisting in serving meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance
• Timely setting up of meal service and delivery of meal trays and food carts
• Following the established portion controls recommended
• Adhering to sanitation and food safety guidelines during meal preparation and clean up
• Keeping worktables clean, meat blocks, refrigerators/freezers, etc.
• Sweeping and mopping floors
• Dishwashing and cleaning of utensils
• Returning clean dishes and utensils to the proper storage areas
• Carrying out garbage
• Disposing of food and waste per facility regulations
• Obtaining food supplies for the next meal
• Following safety regulations and precautions at all times
• Reporting any occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, or other hazardous materials to a supervisor immediately
• Adhering to all facility policies and procedures of the facility
• Maintaining confidentiality of all pertinent resident care information
