Job summary

Woodbury Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to join our Long-Term Living facility. The role focuses on nutritious meal service, sanitation, and friendly resident interaction.

You will assist in meal prep, plating, and ensuring residents receive correct meals in a collaborative Dietary department. Ideal candidates are passionate about food service, customer care, and teamwork, with availability for variable shifts and weekends.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of sanitation practices in a food service environment.
• Cooking or food preparation experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work effectively in a team within the Dietary department.
• Excellent customer service with focus on resident satisfaction.
• Capable of bussing tables, cleaning, and assisting with meal service efficiently.
• Previous experience in assisted living or healthcare settings is a plus but not mandatory.
• Must be able to work variable shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and presentation of meals according to recipes and dietary guidelines.
• Sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment to keep a clean and safe environment.
• Bus tables and assist with serving meals to residents, ensuring correct meals.
• Support cooks with food production tasks: chop vegetables, assemble plates, portion food.
• Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to supervisor.
• Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with residents during meals.
• Follow all safety and health regulations for food handling and sanitation.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that residents receive nutritious and appetizing meals while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the Dietary department. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about food preparation and customer service, and who thrive in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and presentation of meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.

• Sanitate work areas, utensils, and equipment to maintain a clean and safe food service environment.

• Buss tables and assist with serving meals to residents, ensuring that each individual receives their correct meal.

• Support cooks in food production tasks as needed, including chopping vegetables, assembling plates, and portioning food.

• Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to the supervisor.

• Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with residents during mealtimes.

• Follow all safety and health regulations related to food handling and sanitation practices.
