Haven of St. Elmo in St. Elmo, IL is seeking compassionate Dietary Aides to join our dining services team. Full-time and part-time openings are available.

As a Dietary Aide, you will help serve meals, maintain cleanliness, and support residents with warm, respectful service. Ideal candidates enjoy teamwork, have strong reliability, and are comfortable lifting up to 25 pounds. Previous food service or healthcare exposure is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work as part of a team and provide friendly service.
• Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
• Willingness to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals in a timely, courteous, and professional manner.
• Ensure meals are presented attractively and according to residents' dietary needs.
• Set up meal trays, carts, and dining areas.
• Assist with dishwashing and kitchen sanitation.
• Prepare and distribute snacks.
• Follow portion control, food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen and dining areas.
• Provide friendly, respectful service to residents, families, and guests.

We have full-time and part-time openings available. As a Dietary Aide, you will play an important role in creating a positive dining experience for our residents by serving meals with care and helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming kitchen environment.
