Job summary

August Healthcare is seeking a dependable Dietary Aide to support meal service and food operations within the facility. You will help ensure meals are delivered timely and prepared according to diet orders in a clean, respectful manner.

This entry-level position emphasizes teamwork, nutrition, and resident satisfaction, with training provided and opportunities to contribute to resident care. All shifts available cater to Full-Time and Part-Time schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
• Ability to follow instructions and diet guidelines accurately
• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Ability to communicate effectively in English

Responsibilities

• Set up and assemble resident meal trays according to diet cards and menus
• Deliver meal trays to nursing units and retrieve trays after meals
• Assist with preparation of food items, snacks, and supplements as directed
• Prepare items for medication passes as scheduled
• Break down trays, operate dishwashing equipment, and properly store items
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and dining spaces
• Assist cooks and food services staff as needed
• Follow infection control, food safety, and sanitation standards
• Respond appropriately to requests from nursing staff and residents
• Adhere to HIPAA and resident confidentiality requirements
