Job summary

The Landings of Rockingham in North Carolina is seeking a compassionate Dietary Aide to join our culinary team and provide nutritious, high-quality meals to residents. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Previous experience in a food service role (preferred, but not required).
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow directions and work efficiently as part of a team.
• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Meal assistance: help prepare, portion, and serve meals to residents according to dietary plans and special requests.
• Sanitation & cleanliness: maintain kitchen and dining areas; wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed.
• Resident support: provide meal assistance to residents as needed, including helping with meal setup and serving, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Food safety: follow all food safety protocols, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices.
• Inventory support: assist in receiving and storing food and supplies, checking inventory, and notifying the Dietary Manager of shortages or supply needs.
• Team collaboration: work closely with the dietary team to ensure the kitchen and dining areas run smoothly, assisting with food prep and meal service as directed.
• Resident engagement: assist in fulfilling special dietary requests and ensuring residents’ individual preferences and needs are met during meal times.
