Yona is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to join our team in providing warm and friendly hospitality to residents, visitors, and coworkers. You will set up dining areas, assist with meal preparation, and deliver meals under supervision of a dietary manager or cook.

This role requires proven dietary aide experience, basic sanitation knowledge, and good communication. A high school diploma is expected, with food service certification considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a dietary aide.
• Experience in customer service is a plus.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Able to operate cookware, bakeware and cooking appliances.
• Friendly with good communication skills.
• Good physical condition and stamina.

Responsibilities

• Set up dining areas with cleanliness and order.
• Prepare meals under supervision of dietary manager or cook.
• Deliver dishes and trays at designated times and rooms.
• Clear dining areas and collect plates and utensils.
• Dispose of leftovers and take out garbage.
• Clean food stations and wash dishes and utensils.
• Monitor inventory and stock ingredients.
• Assist in tracking expenses and menu planning.
• Support kitchen equipment and appliances maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Set up tables or other dining areas with attention to cleanliness and order
• Prepare meals under the supervision of a dietary manager or cook
• Deliver dishes and trays at designated times and rooms
• Take down dining areas and collect plates, glasses etc
• Discard leftovers and take out garbage
• Clean food stations and wash dishes, cooking vessels and silverware
• Stock ingredients and monitor inventory
• Assist in keeping track of expenses and menu planning
• Help maintain kitchen equipment and appliances

Requirements

• Proven experience as a dietary aide
• Further experience in customer service will be appreciated
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines
• Apt in operating cookware, bakeware and cooking appliances
• Friendly with good communication skills
• Good physical condition and stamina
• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food services is a plus
