Pasadena Post Acute in Pasadena, CA seeks a Dietary Aide to assist with meal service, tray setup, and sanitation. The role reports to Cook and Dietary Supervisor and requires learning food service routines quickly.
Responsibilities include operating the dishwasher, checking dishwashing water temp, preparing nourishments, cleaning surfaces and floors, and participating in staff training. A high school diploma is required and a food handler certificate must be obtained.
General Purpose The dietary aide assignments are determined by the needs basis on the activity of the shift. He/she reports to the Cook and Dietary supervisor.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must obtain and maintain food handlers' certificate.
The essential functions of this position require the following physical abilities: Standing and /or walking very frequently. Sitting occasionally. Reaching with hands and arms frequently, pushing/pulling very frequently. Talking and /or hearing very frequently. Tasting and /or smelling very frequently. Lifting up to 50 pounds frequently. Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling occasionally. Close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception in vision: ability to adjust focus.
