Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. in Ocean Springs, MS, is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist with meal preparation and service for residents in a long-term care facility. You will follow dietary guidelines, assist with meal portions, and ensure cleanliness and safety in the kitchen and dining areas.

Strong customer service, teamwork, and the ability to follow directions are important. Training will be provided, and the role offers benefits and opportunities within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in food service or kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate with occupants and staff daily.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Residency within service area as required by state regulations.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification per state/county law.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 30 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
• Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required based on State / County law.
• Residency within the service area required
